About our Owner Nancy Larson
Owner Nancy Larson recognized a distinct opportunity for a “Refreshed American” concept in Spirit Lake Idaho. After acquiring the building, Larson transformed the existing restaurant space into today’s vibrant “go-to” for food and drink. Salt & Pepper’s namesake can be traced back to her Mother Betty’s extensive collection of over five thousand Salt & Pepper shakers. Larson’s mom tell’s a story of Nancy as a young girl, looking at a restaurant and saying, Mom, one day I want to have a restaurant and I’m going to name it Salt & Pepper Shaker. With only a minor modification, Salt & Pepper was born. A life-long hands-on self-starter Larson partnered with local resources, as well as industry professionals and pursued her vision of a local hometown restaurant with fresh, flavorful quality food and drink paired with a welcoming atmosphere and wonderful, engaging staff. At the forefront of Salt & Pepper is the diverse and affordable menu – and most importantly a place people want to come back again.
